System Administrator - Ellucian® Colleague® DRAFT
Full Time - Remote (Contract position may be considered)
The System Administrator is primarily responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of the Ellucian Colleague ERP web applications (Webadvisor and Self Service), Colleague User Interface (Web UI) and Ellucian Colleague ERP reporting solutions (CROA and Synoptix). In addition, is responsible for the daily tasks associated in the operation and stability of these environments, monitoring of performance, and troubleshooting of any hardware/software issues. This position requires staying current with software upgrades and patches. This position will work closely with other team members so must have an overall understanding of the Colleague environment.

Responsibilities

Install and configure software and all the required WebAdvisor/Self Service components such as Servlet exec, java, .NET, IIS, Visual Studio. Work with Unix administrator to create listeners, assign ports, etc.;

Configure WebAdvisor/Self Service using Colleague UI and SA Valet;

Install and configure Web UI software and maintain client specific parameters and settings. Work with Unix administrator to create listeners, assign ports, etc.;

Monitor performance and maintain an overall understanding of the linkages to Colleague environment;

Provide user support and troubleshoot any issues;
-
Install and configure SAP Business Objects software, maintain user access and security;
-
Work with business unit to discuss reporting and data needs;
-
Maintain/customize data transforms, universes and/or queries/filters;
-
Install and configure Synoptix client and server software, maintain user access and security;
-
Install and configure web portal;
-
Provide user support and troubleshoot any reported issues;

Ensure proper functioning and optimal performance of windows servers for the various applications that integrate/communicate with Colleague ERP;
-
Investigate and resolve issues with access, connectivity and configuration of the ERP environments;

Perform other duties directly related to this position as assigned.
Qualifications

Expert knowledge of current Colleague® technologies

Experience with SQL

Experience with SQL Database is a plus

Programming expertise

System Administration knowledge

Experience with installation of new releases and updates

Experience with Envision, Self Service, Workflow and ELF programming. UniBasic, UniQuery, UniObjects, TOOL Kit and Colleague Studio

Strong knowledge of Self Service with the ability to create modifications

Experience with Ethos and Ethos Extend is a plus but not required

Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects and exercise sound problem-solving

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong customer service approach

Proven experience in developing and managing client relationships

Compensation
-
Salary starts at $78,000 and is commensurate with your experience and qualifications
-
